Damian Cremisio

Saxophonist, woodwind doubler, vocalist and composer Damian Cremisio has been active as both a sideman and bandleader for over three decades. Having toured the world as woodwind doubler for the legendary Andy Williams for five years Damian has also served in horn section playing concerts and tours with Motown groups The Four Tops and The Temptations.

Cremisio has also appeared live and on TV with singers Ann Margaret, Glen Campbell, Petula Clark and John Davidson just to name a few.

In the early 1990s Damian founded the jazz fusion group Rush Hour and received critical acclaim from jazz luminaries Michael Brecker, David Murray and Eddie Daniels as part of Jazziz Magazineโ€™s Top Ten Woodwinds On Fire Contest. The band also had charted international airplay with the CD call Big Al.

In addition to these concert credits, he has an impressive list of musical tours and off Broadway pit orchestra productions numbering over 60 different titles. He wrote the music for and music directed Olgaโ€™s Secret Circus, an off Broadway production. Damian has recorded with his own group and also as a session player in styles ranging from pop to straight-ahead jazz to soundtracks for films.

In addition to a busy freelancing schedule, he currently stays active performing and writing for Damian And The DCQ, a six piece Jazz Fusion group based out of Asbury Park, NJ.

As part of his array of instruments, Damian is proud to be an endorsing artist for Sax Dakota USA Saxophones playing his DC Custom XR-72 soprano saxophone.
